  • Each session will be different depending on clients' specific needs.

Our focus is to improve functionality and create more ease in the body. Trigger point therapy, myofascial release, passive and assisted stretching, as well as craniosacral techniques are used to mobilize and align muscle fibers and free adhesions.

What to wear: I appreciate when clients wear underwear at a minimum and prefer shorts for men, tank top or sports top/shorts for women. Most of my work is specific and goal oriented and clothing is not in the way, but for a relaxation or full body massage dressing down can make more sense. please email with any questions or we can discuss at appointment time.

  • If you have been getting bodywork, are in PT, or another form of treatment for a persistent issue and are not experiencing the results you have been expecting, it is possible that some adhered scar tissue is holding you back.

The body is truly spectacular when it comes to wound recovery. When normal tissue is damaged (disease, injury, trauma) the body quickly responds by producing collagen, a protein that helps repair damaged tissue. Collagen fibers are dense and serve a crucial purpose in wound recovery but can cause complications later on as the resulting scar tissue can become overly dense and inflexible.

Abdominal scars can make it difficult to build core strength, support pelvic floor function, and can be part of the cause of back pain.

Scars from head trauma can contribute to headaches, jaw pain, and neck issues.

These are just a couple of examples, every scar in any location may cause a ripple effect, very similar to the effects of a snag in a sweater. Feel free to email to learn more or to discuss your situation.

  • Children, including young athletes, are not immune to tight muscles and scar tissue buildup. Factors such as overtraining, lack of rest, and inadequate stretching, combined with explosive movements, can lead to injuries even in the most resilient child athletes.

Creating a positive youth sports session requires clear communication. We will discuss sensations they might experience (such as pain, pressure, ache, or stretch), why we are doing what we are doing, and most importantly, that they are in control of the session.
